One of my strengths is building relationships, and at one company I was hired to be the relationship guy in the business. I DID have strong relationships but I was still losing sales, because despite those relationships, I wasn’t positioning myself to have the best solution for the prospects’ needs.

Luckily my struggles were great learning experiences and helped me uncover the full picture of what it takes to be great at sales. I recognized that effective selling requires a PROCESS and a SYSTEM, as well as an approach that recognizes both the art AND science of selling.

These realizations helped me see where companies had gaps that were affecting their sales success — and I began to offer to help fix it.
